Her music makes me feel expressive and over powered with her strong vocals, and like a care free hippy lounging by the pool.

CLEARLY florence makes me weird and happy

Every time I hear Florence's voice - it's over powering, all encompassing, the depths of the oceans that she sings about, as well as the whole sky. It's starlight and sunshine, it's the inspiration for me, and so many other young artists, to get out of bed with the hope that one day we could create something as magical and powerful. She reminds me of the person I could be! Which in todays pop culture is a rare thing indeed, I can't imagine this performance being one to be missed x

Florence's heart-wrenching voice, singles out every emotion, whilst Tom Monger on the harp, plucks every one of these emotions and lets them radiate throughout my body. Her music, whilst dosed in metaphor, is so clear that everybody is able to comprehend how she feels, allowing myself to empathise with her whilst making me feel liberated through every note I scream along too.

Florence's music makes you feel like you are engulfed in water. When it's calm it washes over you, when it's rough it tears you up and spins you around. It's a release like no other..

That’s just it….Florence + The Machine’s music makes me feel. A rare thing. She fills me with tenacity, resilience and grace. “I’m not giving up” but instead “I’m gonna shake it out” “Only if for a night”! She’s provided the soundtrack to the hardest parts of my life, giving comfort, strength and tenacity where only pain previously sat. I love Florence’s music, “oh the joy it brings to me”, because she acknowledges the hurt but dances it away with such grace. “This will be my last confession”, this year “every demon wants his pound of flesh” and “I never knew daylight could be so violent”. My “world’s a beast of a burden” with “pockets full of stones”. I need to channel her tenacity and resilience. “I’m already on my knees”, I want, no, I need…. more then anything to go to this gig, to get “the love I need” to “shake it out” “only if for a night’. “I am done with my graceless heart” so on November 15th at the Seymour Centre, “I’m gonna cut it out and then restart.”

“I know, I know, I have such selfish prayers”, “And I would give all this and heaven too” but I know I have to keep following the heart lines on my hand…. I would give it all…. “if only for a moment”.

I remember the first time I heard Florence's voice on triple j in the car singing 'you've got the love' and I instantly fell in love. Her powerful voice, beautiful dark lyrics and melodies empower and move me everytime I play her album on my record player. There is no other musician that sounds like her which is so refreshing and each and every one of her songs transports me to a different time and magical place. She is a woman who has impeccable style and never fails to inspire nor evoke all kinds of emotions in me through her music and lyrics.

Her music makes me feel like everything has a chance of going right no matter how bad the situation, which is why I always listen to Florence when I’m feeling down or depressed. Listening to her voice; be it a soft, almost non-existent whisper or a gut-wrenching wail brings out the raw emotions in me. It makes me wanna cry with happiness and dance with joy at the same time.
